Silane is an organic compound containing a single or multiple silicon-carbon (Si-C) bonds. The silicon-based monomeric chemical consists of four substituent, and at least one carbon-silicon bond structure (CH3-Si-). The substituent groups can be a combination of any nonreactive, organically or inorganically reactive groups.

The most common silicone oils are linear polysiloxane compounds, that orient in spiral chains, which easily glide and slip over one another. Silicone oils offer great thermal stability and fexible and flowable forms at extreme temperatures. Polydimethylsiloxane is the predominant silicone polymer made, but other organic groups (phenyl, vinyl, epoxide or amino) can be added to the siloxane polymer that can in some cases offer special characteristics or reactivity.

Liquid silicone rubber contains polymers of lower molecular weight and therefore shorter chains. It also has a wider range of properties. Liquid silicone is always cured with a platinum catalyst and is referred to as LSR (liquid silicon rubber). LSR grades are delivered as two-component systems. Component A contains a platinum catalyst and component B contains a crosslinker. Used as raw material for producing injection molding silicone products. Hardness customized.
